Bring Me The Horizon - Short analysis of music video
I have chosen this music video because of the unique camera shots. The camera is shaking horizontally throughout, especially when the band is in view of the camera, which creates a sense of instability. The blonde girl is the main point of focus when regarding the narrative of the song lyrics, and this may represent her emotional state as being unstable or volatile. One of the most striking elements to this music video is the shot of the drummer holding two flares instead of drumsticks. At this point the "white out" seen when all band members are in view is less prominent and the flares cast an unnatural light across the drummer. This could signify that the band itself is aiding the girl with her emotional troubles and the light given off by the flares is the girl seeing more clearly, as this could also explain the absence of the "white out".

That is definitely a strange camera movement! Effective though.
ReplyDeleteYou need to set your labels up (as demonstrated in that first lesson) and I would change the font colour in your side bar, as it is hard to read.
